Chana Altschuler

       Chana has always been passionate about music. Through the use of Soma- Rapid Prompting Method, Chana, who is autistic and a non-speaker, was able to first reliably communicate at the age of 14.

       She used her new voice to express her interest in all things musical: going to concerts, experimenting with instruments, and (just this year) taking singing lessons! 

       Chana is fortunate to be able to execute the creation of “Ignite the Light” as part of her Self-Directed Program through the generosity of the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDA). 

       She and her team are currently pursuing its non-profit status.
